The amazing cast

Bates Motel has an insane cast, which is why this show is just too good to watch. In the show, Freddie Highmore (Dr. Shawn Murphy from The Good Doctor) plays Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga (Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring) plays Norma.

Other characters include Sheriff Romero played by Nestor Carbonell, Norman’s brother Dylan is played by Max Thieriot, Norman’s best friend Emma is played by Olivia Cooke and Norman’s love interest Bradley is played by Nicola Peltz. Each of the actors does absolute justice to their characters and their acting is just wonderful.

It seems like everyone was fit for their character and no one else could play them as well as they did. Freddie Highmore has done a brilliant job as Norman Bates, a boy who seemingly looks innocent but is also a killer.

Vera Farmiga plays Norma well too, with her hysteric screaming and her covering up Norman’s murders. All of the cast members and their acting just compel you to watch the show. One of the best things is that the show even has Rihanna in it.

The brilliant storyline

Bates Motel has an amazing story, it starts from the moment Norman and Norma move to White Pine Bay and start their motel business. In a process of 5 seasons, they have to face a lot of hardships and enemies and have to deal with Norman’s mental health issues. Even though Norman should be getting treatment for his mental illnesses, his mother keeps him from doing so otherwise his murders would be exposed and he would be sent to jail.

Due to this, Norman’s mental condition worsens and he keeps blacking out more frequently to the point that his murders keep increasing. Not only is the story fixated on Norman and Norma but it also shows the hardships that Dylan has to face, being Norman’s step-brother and Norma’s son.
