How to Redeem Mass Effect Codes
For you to be able to redeem your Mass Effect Face code, you need to go to the “Profile Reconstruction menu”. When you get there, you will see a prompt to paste your code into the text box under “Code”. This will be found at the bottom left side of the user interface.
It is important to note that if you redeem your codes in the Legendary Edition of the game, some values will change. This is why you need to manually tweak them. If you are searching for your face codes from the other games in the Mass Effect Trilogy, then you can copy them from the left-hand side of the Squad Menu.
How you can Import your Mass Effect Codes Into The Legendary Edition
One of the reasons why most gamers want to transfer their face codes to the Legendary edition is because it has more expansive character customization than Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 combined.
The first step to take when trying to import face codes in Legendary Edition is to access your old Mass Effect saves. Go to any of the games in the Mass Effect trilogy where your code is, and load the save file featuring the Shepherd you wish to use.
When you have your hands on the code, start the Mass Effect Legendary Edition game. Select “Enter New ID”, and then make some choices around the character. Some of these include; editing the backstory, character class, and so on. Ensure that you choose the same gender as the Shepherd you want to copy across.
When you enter the “Character Appearance” section, you will see a prompt for a text box at the bottom of the screen. Copy out the 36-character long Mass Effect code that you took from your old save and press enter. After keying in the code, you will see Shepherd’s face reconstruct itself.
